In the upcoming Fall semester, Fresno State Esports will debut our new Academy VALORANT team.
Officially titled Fresno State Esports: Iris Academy, this team is designed to provide a safe and welcoming space for female, nonbinary, and student-athletes of other marginalized genders.
The program’s name, Iris, carries deep significance, representing the vibrant diversity and varied skills of its members. It serves both as a reference to the Iris flower, which comes in a variety of colors, and the Greek Goddess of the rainbow.
We offer:
Access to the USU Gaming Arena for practice, competition, and free play
Opportunities for travel and LANs
Professional development and networking
On-campus support and resources
Competition with other universities and teams
Current (and incoming) students at Fresno State can express interest in joining the VALORANT team by filling out the form here.
While VALORANT is the main focus for Fall 2024, the team behind it is looking to expand F/NB teams into further games under our roster. Those interested in the future of Fresno State Esports Academy teams can get regular updates on Instagram.
